The Inspiration: Modern Rustic

Incorporating both modern and rustic influences for this styled shoot, we took inspiration from the sprawling landscape that the White Barn offers and idyllic coastal lifestyle of San Luis Obispo. With comfort and accessibility in mind, we designed an inviting series of spaces for guests to enjoy throughout the evening

At Avenue Twelve, we have lately been loving neutral textures in our lounge designs. One of our favorites…(shhh don’t tell the others) is our Rye coffee table and accent tables. They pair beautifully with almost any piece of furniture in our warehouse, and make our lounge spaces so fun to design. In addition to our Rye pieces, our new Oyster chairs and ottomans have had a lot of play in the design game with both our styled lounges and with other wedding designers. We can’t wait for all our 2021 weddings to see all these pieces designed and enjoyed by guests!

The Palette

With humble yet functional beginnings, the White Barn formally operated as a dairy barn that has since then transformed into a modern event barn-featuring a bright white exterior, rustic metal hardware and lush landscapes with native plants. In the distance, the property is framed by rolling green hills and farmland, this encourage our palette to encompass both worlds of Modern and Rustic influences. Bright and natural colors- ranging from neutral hues of jute, brown leathers, black accents, textured creams, rattan, soft pebble grey and subtle green accents.
